“A Collection of Music by George Otis, for the Violin or Flute” (Worcester, MA: 1793), 17. The second treble line was for a second part that Otis apparently did not find to copy. Mr. Powell may have been Snelling Powell, an English actor/singer who performed in the Federal Street theater in Boston when it opened in 1794 (Arthur Hornblow, A History of the Theatre in America (Philadelphia: 1919), 228).
