Robin Bohugh's reason why he married such an ill looking wife

The theme of the young man marrying an appreciative old woman chiefly for her money is an old one but this is a rake’s story with a twist, a comic lyric that is neither cruel nor mean. The woman allows him a long leash and he seems to have no plan to do her in. No tune has been located but it probably would be in an eight-line stanza format as the burden “the de’l might have had her fr’all me” appears at the end of every other verse on the Coverly sheet.
