Prang's shorter course in form study and drawing

This textbook includes exercises on drawing basics such as line, forms and shapes. This copy was owned by Bessie Lawrence of Manheim, Penn (b. May 1885). The book not only includes her pencil drawings inside the text book, but also a crayon drawing of a family by a fireplace with corresponding story, and a letter to her teacher describing her summer vacation dated 1897. It also includes a "Public school certificate" report card with the grades for all of her school classes, including drawing in which she scored a 90. Dated 1898.
