This print was advertised in the Publisher's weekly in 1874 for $9 for the 15 x 24 inch print. It was part a set of six New England themed landscapes painted for Prang by Benjamin Champney, known for his paintings of the White Mountains. The other titles were Mount Kearsarge, Mount Chocorua, Artist's Brook, North Conway Meadows, and Haymaking in the Green Mountains. Prang often commissioned well-known artists to create paintings expressly to be re-created as chromos to sell.
