This exhibition was created and curated by Christine Graham-Ward as a capstone project for the Masters of Liberal Arts in Museum Studies from Harvard University Extension School, Spring, 2015. Christine is the Cataloger of Visual Materials at the American Antiquarian Society.
Special thanks to Lauren Hewes for her help as a reader for this project and for her mentorship over the past nine years. Thanks to present and former AAS photographers Nikki Grdinich and Cade Overton for digitizing the materials used in this exhibition. Thanks to Molly Hardy for her help in bringing Omeka to AAS and for editing this exhibit.
The bulk of the Prang Collection at AAS (64 items) was the gift of lithography collector and Boston Globe editor Charles Henry Taylor in the 1920s and 30s.
More recent additions to the collection have come from generous donations by Joanne S. Gill (Oriental Ceramic Art, given in 2014), chomolithography collector and physicist Jay T. Last (four items), and by David Doret and Linda Mitchell (nine items).
