Samuel A. Cooke

1937-2015

Samuel Cooke died on December 2, 2015. He was a senior vice president at Morgan Stanley and had a passion for serving the community and philanthropy. A major collector of Pacific and Hawaiian materials, he helped preserve Hawaii’s culture, history, and natural environment. He was chairman of the board of trustees of the Honolulu In Memoriam Museum of Art and the Hawai’i Community Foundation. He was also the founding chairman of the Nature Conservancy of Hawai’i and served as president of the Cooke Foundation.
