1935-2020
John Murrin (elected April 1999) died May 2, 2020. After teaching at Washington University, St. Louis, Murrin joined the faculty at Princeton, where he remained until transferring to emeritus status in 2003. Murrin specialized in early North American colonial history and the early national period. He was the coauthor of Liberty, Equality, and Power: A History of the American People (1998).
