Carolyn Alderman Allen Thorpe

Carolyn “Kay” Allen Thorpe died on April 2, 2017. Thorpe was a voracious reader with a special interest in American history. She served as head of the Acquisitions Department at AAS from 1971 to 1987. She enjoyed the Society’s genealogical collections and liked to research the branches of her family tree. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
