A Narrative of the Excursion and Ravages of the King’s Troops under the Command of General Gage, on the Nineteenth of April 1775 … Worcester: Isaiah Thomas, 1775.
One month after the battles of Lexington and Concord, the Massachusetts Provincial Congress commissioned Patriot printer Isaiah Thomas to print this official account. The pamphlet presents eye-witness depositions and lists Minutemen who were killed, wounded, or missing. Because Thomas had recently moved his printing office from Boston to Worcester, he was able to publish the account without interference from British authorities. Another AAS copy of this pamphlet bears Thomas's inscription identifying it as the "first book printed in Worcester."
