Published by AAS founder Isaiah Thomas, this newspaper features a masthead engraved by Boston silversmith Paul Revere. The masthead depicts a snake divided into sections, each representing a colonial state, with the phrase “Join or Die.” This is the last issue of the Spy that Isaiah Thomas printed in Boston before he took his press and fled to Worcester to escape British authorities.
