This bifolium (single sheet folded once to make four pages) was printed in Bridgetown, Barbados, in 1730, the very first year that printing took place on that island.

It Being Observed, that the Young and Rising Generation of the People Called Quakers, Taking Much More Liberty than their Holy Profession Allows of, it is thought fit to reprint a petition formerly given to King Charles II. in which is mentioned the great sufferings our ancient friends aad [sic] brethren met with ... hoping it may be of service to some who may be well inclined, not intending any reflection upon the governement, who has been pleased to favour us with the act of toleration, for which we are truly thankful ... : To the King and both houses of Parliament, the suffering condition of the peaceable people called Quakers, only for tender conscience towards Almighty God, humbly presented.
