Annual Meeting 2018
The two-hundredth and sixth Annual Meeting of the American Antiquarian Society will be held in Antiquarian Hall in Worcester, Massachusetts, on Friday afternoon, the twenty-sixth of October, at 4:30.
to hear the report of the Council,
to elect officers and Councilors,
to elect new members, and
to transact such other business as may properly come before the meeting.
Related activities for members and guests will take place Thursday and Friday, according to the appended schedule.

Baron Lecture “Reflections on Gender and Politics in Anglo-America; or, An Intellectual Journey Encompassing Four Decades and Four Books” by Mary Beth Norton 14th Annual Robert C. Baron Lecture, Antiquarian Hall Breaking with the standard pattern of Baron Lectures, distinguished scholar and AAS member Mary Beth Norton (with the concurrence of AAS) will discuss not one book but the four related works in which she examined aspects of the same theme: the relationship of women and the public sphere in early America, from the beginnings of English settlement through 1800. |
