Photographs of Native Americans Inventory
The collection of photographs of Native Americans contains 223 photographs housed in two boxes. It includes the work of notable photographers including William Henry Jackson (1843-1942), Jack Hillers (1843-1925), and Eadweard Muybridge (1830-1904).
The collection was processed by Cynthia Rufo in November/December, 2006. She also compiled this inventory in 2006.
Photographs are arranged alphabetically by tribe. When possible, the original language version of an individual's name has been listed in parentheses. Quotations indicate a transcribed title.
Additional Native American photographs, not included in this inventory, can be found in the cartes-de-visite (Box # 5) and stereograph collections (Boxes # 317 & 318.)
