Worcester Portrait Photographs Collection

The Society's collection of Worcester Portrait Photographs contains just over twelve hundred images of prominent citizens of the city of Worcester, Massachusetts, including members of the Barton, Paine, and Washburn families. The photographs are arranged by size and include cabinet photographs (C), standard (S), and folio sizes (F). Carte-de-viste photographs of Worcester residents will be found in the carte-de-viste collection. The Worcester Portrait Photograph
collection ranges in date from about 1870 to 1930 and includes many photographs of local clergy, industrial leaders and members of the American Antiquarian Society. For additional images of Worcester residents, be sure to search the Worcester Portrait Prints collection, as well. The inventory of the Worcester Portrait Photographs collection was compiled in 2008.
