New York, New York — April 3, 2009
The 2009 Semiannual Meeting of the American Antiquarian Society will be held at the Grolier Club in New York City, 47 East 60th Street, on Friday, April 3, at 4:00 p.m.
At the business meeting, we will elect new members and report on how AAS is coping with the downturn in the economy. The afternoon's program will focus on a recent gift of pre-1801 books and pamphlets made by newly elected Chairman Sid Lapidus and on the Society's fellowship program, which will feature two newly endowed fellowships as of September 2009.

4:00 p.m. Semiannual meeting of the Society
4:30 p.m. Program, featuring presentations on recent acquisitions and the Society's fellowship program.

In recent years, the AAS spring meeting has traveled around the country and included the option of three-days of cultural tourism (omitted this year). We will hold the 2009 meeting in New York City in conjunction with the New York Book Fair. Our hope is that many of our collectors, book dealers, and friends who live in the area will carve out time to meet with other members of the Society at the Grolier Club on April 3.
