Digital Reproductions for Research
The American Antiquarian Society offers digital reproductions (digital
photographs, maximum 300 pixels per inch 20 MB files) of collection
material for personal research use only. AAS is no longer able to offer
microfilming of collection materials.
Use
Please note that certain types of items, such as separately published
prints, lithographs, broadsides, and engravings, etc. will not be
photographed and are only available as
scans at $25.00 each.
NOTE: AAS licensing fees and agreement apply for use of digital
photographs in scholarly or commercial publications.
AAS retains the right to deny requests for digital images for any reason.
Digital Reproductions for Research Fee Schedule
For each type of material ordered there is a setup fee of $25.00.
Additionally there is a fee per shot depending on the item's size and
condition.

*A special charge, negotiated in advance, may be added to orders that
require multiple camera setups, large numbers of images or special
lighting conditions.
Large orders will first be provided a quote from the Digital Department.
Shipping and Handling
There is an additional charge of $2.00 for each CD and $5.00 for shipping.
Prepayment is required. Items are processed approximately 3-4 weeks from
receipt of cleared payment. Orders wishing to be processed as soon as
possible are strongly encouraged to provide credit card details.
