ACLS Frederick Burkhardt Fellowships

The American Council of Learned Societies will award these one-year residential fellowships for which recently tenured humanists may apply.

AAS is one of nine national research libraries and major interdisciplinary centers for advanced study participating in the Frederick Burkhardt Residential Fellowships for Recently Tenured Scholars, a program of the American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) with funding from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Up to eleven Burkhardt Fellowships are offered annually to faculty in the humanities and related social sciences who have begun tenured contracts at U.S. institutions during the five years preceding their proposed fellowships.
