Short-Term Visiting Academic Research Fellowships

AAS-American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies Fellowships

AAS-American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies Fellowships are for research on projects related to the American eighteenth century. The award is jointly funded by the American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies and AAS.

Criteria

This fellowship supports research on projects related to the American eighteenth century.

ASECS membership is not required of applicants; awardees who are not already members must join.

ASECS Fellows are selected on the basis of the applicant's scholarly qualifications, the scholarly significance or importance of the project, and the appropriateness of the proposed study to the Society's collections.

Stipend

$1,700 per month
or
$1,200 per month including housing in the Society's Goddard-Daniels House

Length of Term

One month

Eligibility

A fellowship holder must be an ABD graduate student or post-doctoral, holding the Ph.D. or equivalent degree at the time of the application.

January 15 is the application deadline
