Note: The following announcement of the 2007 annual meeting of the
American Antiquarian Society appears on this website as an added
convenience to members, who also receive a printed invitation in the mail.
We wish to let non-members know that they are also welcome to attend
events of the AAS annual meeting. They should register for the activities
they wish to attend and remit payment for those that bear a fee (e.g.,
tours, receptions, and meals) by contacting Ann-Cathrine Rapp,
arapp[at]mwa.org.
Call to the Meeting
The one hundred ninety-fifth Annual
Meeting
of the American Antiquarian Society will be held in Antiquarian Hall in
Worcester, Massachusetts, on
Friday afternoon, the nineteenth of October, at five o'clock
- to hear the report of the Council,
- to elect officers and Councilors,
- to elect new members, and
- to transact such other business as may properly come before the
meeting.
Related activities for members and guests will take place Thursday
through Saturday, according to the appended schedule.

Home to the third oldest horicultural society in the country, Tower Hill
has 132 acres of gardens, nature trails, a museum store, and an

The Society has reserved a block of rooms at the Crowne Plaza in
Worcester
at the special rate of $109 single or double, plus tax. Reservations may
be made by calling the hotel at (508) 791-1600 and identifying yourself as
part of the American Antiquarian Society group. Any unreserved rooms in
the block will be released on Friday, September 28, 2007.
