Bare Naked Senses

Bare Naked Senses

L’Ouie / Hearing.  NY, Paris, London: Charles Tilt and Bailly & Ward, c. 1835. Catalog Record | Enlarge Image | Adopt a Book Home

Another example of a lithograph printed in Europe and sold in America, this image of women relaxing with their guitars was part of a set of four.  The subject matter is not typically what was printed in American lithography shops, but apparently sold well (big surprise) as many semi-erotic subjects were known to have been imported by New York fancy goods dealer, Bailly & Ward.

Adopted by George and Sheila Tetler
