C. W. Starbuck & Co. A Club of Subscribers. Cincinnati: C. W. Starbuck & Co., 1869.
This colorful broadside seeks individuals eager to join together in a club
to subscribe to the Cincinnati Weekly Times. Subscribers can
receive as a
premium either a copy of The Union Hand Book & Family Diary for
1869 or a
copy of Mammoth Trees of California. We are always on the lookout
ephemeral material relating to the book trades, especially such "premium"
prints that publishers offered to subscribers.
Purchased from Aiglatson Books. Isaac Davis Fund.

"One day I am visited by a collector of ordination sermons; the next, by
a collector of 4th of July orations; then comes a collector of geography;
another wants religious newspapers; another wants every book printed in
New York before 1700. I accommodate myself to all; for I want every thing
and collect every thing, and I have more zeal than the whole of them: and
in this way I am kept very busy."
