About this collection

Benjamin Craggin (1772-1852), John Andrews ( - ), and William Dudley ( - ) all came from Douglas, Mass. This collection consists of three daybooks and three ledgers (two of which are indexed) which record the sale of general store products in Oxford, Mass., during the 1820s. The first three volumes are for the firm Craggin and Andrews and cover the period 1820 to 1824. Apparently, Dudley replaced Andrews as Craggin's partner in 1823 or 1824, as the remaining three volumes are for the firm Craggin and Dudley and cover the period 1823 to 1827.
