Henry Chapin (1811-1878) was a lawyer and judge in Worcester, Mass.
This collection of papers reflects Chapin's interest in New England
history. It consists of notes and drafts written by Chapin on the history
of textile mills, particularly along the Blackstone River. There are
related newspaper clippings and a few letters requesting information about
the mills in the Blackstone valley.
