Readex microfiche and storage box - Albert Boni developed an application of microfilming technology that resulted in the creation of images printed on paper to be read under magnification. He took microfilmed text and made an image that was transferred by lithographic technology to a printing plate and printed onto paper. Many technical problems were overcome before his visionary idea was realized. The printed paper cards held approximately one hundred pages of text. Once production was perfected, Boni worked with Clifford K. Shipton at the Society to film the books in Charles Evans, American Bibliography, making them available to subscribers. Photographic paper cards, 15.2 x 22.9 cm and storage box.
