Pamphlets received of the Boston Athenaeum, 1834 - Baldwin spent two weeks after returning from Boston with the trove of duplicates from the Boston Athenaeum to create the alphabetical list of the five hundred pamphlets acquired. When finished, Baldwin confessed “my zeal for pamphlets came nigh being quenched by the labor there is in making a catalogue of them.” Catalogue of pamphlets received from the Boston Athenaeum, Jan 23, 1834, Fol. vol. 18.5 (inside front cover and unnumbered page 6). AAS Archives.
