Cotton Mather's Diary, 1703 - The forty first year of the Diary of the never to be forgotten Cotton Mather” was how Christopher Columbus Baldwin described this find among thousands of pamphlets in the “ancient trunks, bureaus, and chests, baskets, tea chests and old drawers” in Thomas Walcutt’s storage area on the fourth floor of a Boston warehouse in August 1834.
