Specimen of Typography - An indication of Thomas’s engagement with his book collection is a bound volume of pasteboard sheets. At the foot of the first page is his inscription: “Specimen of Typography about the year 1480. “These Leaves were pasted together to make Paste-board, which was used for the Cover of a book printed at Basil in 1547.
