This exquisite watercolor drawing of a humble but elegant Cinderella trying on the glass slipper is one of a set of drawings done by artist Sarah Noble Ives for a McLoughlin picture book version of Cinderella issued around 1912.  Ives portrays Cinderella as a Pre-Raphaelite beauty who commands center stage despite her simple dress.
