This charming two-page spread of Cinderella and the prince dancing at the ball is an early example of McLoughlin’s use of color lithography.  This technological leap made for cleaner registration (the way that the colors fall within the outlines of the illustration) and a saturated palette of shades not evident in earlier hand colored editions.
