This hand colored edition of Cinderella was among the first picture books issued by John McLoughlin, Jr. after he took over Elton & Company.  Made from plates originally issued by contemporary Edward Dunigan in the 1840s, young McLoughlin made sure that every illustration had multiple colors, as seen in this image of the prince inviting Cinderella to dance.
