Listen to your Mother – Adopt!

Ives not only wrote the text for Teddy the Bear, she also provided six elaborate color illustrations. She used foliage to frame each design, creating a stained-glass effect that was fresh and modern for McLoughlin Brothers.  Part of the firm’s archive, this watercolor is annotated with color notes by the press team and has a paste-over correcting the caption lettering.
