With humorous illustrations by Charles Kendrick, this sixteen-page linen book of familiar nursery rhymes was intended for small hands. Kendrick worked for Frank Leslie’s Illustrated Weekly in the 1870s and 1880s and was called “one of the best of our rising young artists,” by Century Magazine in 1881. McLoughlin Brothers began producing “indestructible” books printed on cloth around 1867.
