Don’t be a Glutton, Adopt!

Illustrated by famous cartoonist Thomas Nast, this chromolithographed edition of The Fat Boy is a rhyming version of a tale extracted from Charles Dickens’ Pickwick Papers.  Nast drew scenes for the same tale in an1860s almanac, and for a full edition of Pickwick Papers printed in the 1870s. The main character is a servant of Samuel Pickwick named Joe, who likes to eat and sleep.
