May I Have this Dance?

The Cats' Party. New York: McLoughlin Brothers, 1869.

Catalog Record | Enlarge Image | Adopt-a-Book Home

This story relates the tale of a cat who holds a party without her owner’s permission, stealing food, breaking plates, tearing curtains, and causing general havoc in the house with a group of kitty friends.  There is dinner and dancing, racing and chasing and, of course, a moral – don’t deceive, sneak, and steal like a naughty cat.
