Co-Ed in Ohio
Invitation for the Linnaean Literary Society, Mount Union College. Alliance, Ohio: Monitor Press, 1872.
This invitation and program for a February performance at Ohio’s Mount Union College featured music, oratory and a tableau of Joan of Arc. AAS holds numerous catalogs and reports of this institution, which was founded in 1846. By 1870, nearly 700 students were enrolled and the school became one of the first to embrace coeducational classrooms.
