This lot of letters range in date from 1830-1872, and include correspondence to Maine towns such as Kennebunk, Augusta, Portland, Dover and Andover, as well as Boston.  Topics in the letters include the upcoming new publication of the American Bee Journal, confirmation of payments and delivery of books and periodicals, and the sale of advertisements.  One letter, from April of 1866, solicits sermons from a reverend in Boston, stating that they are “publishing a volume to contain the principal sermons preached in Boston on the murder of our beloved president…”
